OUR PASTOR

Rev. Alan-Michael Carter

Reverend Alan-Michael Carter is a native of Baltimore, Maryland, and the proud son of Michael Carter and Kristen Allen. He has faithfully served as the Senior Pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Baltimore since December 2025.

Rev. Carter accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of nine through the ministry of Shiloh Christian Community Church, where the Reverend Jimmy C. Baldwin Sr. serves as Pastor. At the age of fifteen, he answered God's call to preach the Gospel and delivered his initial sermon at seventeen. Before his call to Grace Baptist Church, he faithfully served at Shiloh in several leadership capacities, including Youth Minister, Director of Ministries, and Executive Pastor. He was ordained to the Gospel Ministry through the Baptist Church and the United Council of Christian Community Churches of Maryland and Vicinity.

Committed to both spiritual and academic excellence, Rev. Carter earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Morgan State University and a Master of Divinity from the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University.

Rev. Carter is passionate about biblical preaching, discipleship, leadership development, and community engagement. His ministry is centered on proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ, equipping believers for faithful service, and leading the local church to be a transformative witness in the community. He believes that faithful preaching must inspire both spiritual growth and practical impact, empowering people to live out their faith beyond the walls of the church.

In addition to pastoral ministry, Rev. Carter is a licensed Realtor in Maryland and Pennsylvania. His professional experience in finance, real estate, and community development has further fueled his passion for strengthening families, empowering communities, and building lasting legacies. He is also a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

Above all, Rev. Carter considers it his greatest privilege to serve the Lord alongside his wife and high school sweetheart, Sydney, and their two daughters, Aria and Alex.
